Because Xytex Cord Blood Bank owns and operates its processing and storage facilities, parents can be assured that once their child’s cord blood stem cells are shipped to our facility, they will remain securely stored, never moved or transferred to another storage facility.

Safest Procedures. Our laboratory staff conducts monthly calibrations on all equipment, as well as annual validation. In addition, Xytex Cord Blood Bank stores your child’s cord blood stem cell unit in an FDA-approved Pall medical bag. Units are stored in the vapor phase above liquid nitrogen, which prevents any potential transmission of disease from one sample to another.

Secure Location. Xytex Cord Blood Bank’s storage facility is securely located within its corporate offices in Augusta, Ga. Our cord blood units are stored in dedicated storage tanks, which are monitored daily by our staff and continuously through alarm sensors.

Security Protocols. Our constant-temperature liquid nitrogen containers are linked to an independent backup power generator; however, even in the event of a power failure, our tanks continue to maintain constant, sub-zero temperatures, and may be manually monitored for as long as necessary.
